ABOUT

Itay is the artistic alias of Uriel Alcaraz, a Spanish artist, music producer, sound engineer and sound designer with a diverse portfolio of creative projects.

His journey began at the age of twelve, making beats purely for fun. By sixteen, he acquired his first mixer and began recording Dj sets for friends from his bedroom, teaching himself the fundamentals of audio through hands-on experimentation. In 2011, he earned a Sound Technician Certificate, deepening his understanding of audio theory and studio practice. Over the years, he has collaborated with numerous artists and clubs, organised events, and performed at electronic music venues across Spain and the UK. These experiences, along with his work across various creative industries, have given him a rich perspective on how music can be felt and expressed. His music has been released by labels such as Molts Records (Barcelona), Dred Collective (London), and others. His work has also been featured in platforms like DJ Mag Spain, Clubbing Spain, and BeatMash Magazine.

Today, Itay Productions is his main project, where he explores a wide range of sounds rooted primarily in electronic music and hip-hop, always driven by concept, emotion, and innovation.

Latest sonic art project

A multi-story brick apartment building with white windows and small balconies, partially obscured by leafless tree branches in the foreground, with a grassy area and sidewalk in front.

Sound of Transitions (sound art) - January 2026

This project is a sonic exploration of urban movement, treating people and space as a living musical score. Translating human movement, infrastructure, and environmental interaction into sound. Sound of Transitions marks my first project as a sonic artist and is part of a wider series of works yet in development titled A Sonic Exploration of Everyday Life.

LATEST MUSICAL release

Microcosmos (album) - August 2025

Microcosms is a thirteen-track exploration of the unseen. Rooted in the concept of “small forms of life", the album is inspired by microscopic organisms—those tiny, often-overlooked lifeforms that quietly sustain ecosystems and drive the balance of our planet. Each track delves into a different biological world: from fungi and bacteria to insects and protists, revealing the quiet power of nature’s smallest architects.

Blending organic textures with electronic sound design, Microcosmos invites listeners to slow down and observe the invisible networks around them. It’s both a sonic microscope and a reflection about life forms we rarely notice, yet owe everything to.

LATEST collaboration

Echo (single) - November 2025

One of the most recent collaborations I have been involved in is the production of Echo, a track featured on Elfi’s second album. Elfi is a Dutch pop singer with a highly promising career in the music industry. She released her debut album, ‘Bitter into Glitter’.

LATEST Sample pack

Microcosmos (sample pack) - September 2025

In parallel with my album Microcosmos, I have worked on a sample pack featuring sounds used in the tracks from the album. All the sounds were designed by me using the Deepmind 6, MicroFreak, Omnisphere, and Pigments 6.

The concept of the sample pack draws inspiration from the concept of the album itself, but instead of focusing on musical composition, it explores the idea of a sample pack as a microcosm of sounds—a compact ecosystem of textures, tones, and sonic fragments ready to be reimagined.
