Ambient music for meditative walks
Ambient Music for Meditative Walks is part of a bigger series of sound art projects called A Sonic Exploration of Everyday Life, in which I use sound and music to explore and observe everyday life through a creative lens. Within this series, the album aims to provide a soundtrack that follows the logic of the flâneur, a literary figure who describes an urban explorer, someone who wanders city streets observing people, architecture, and the life of modern society. At the heart of this project is the idea of walking as a form of meditation and introspective conversation. It becomes an excuse to observe and analyse our surroundings, making us aware of both our individual and collective existence. Building on this idea, the album offers a "sonic space" meant to induce calm and a sense of safety while moving through the chaotic environment of the city, inviting the listener to walk without any particular reason. To support this experience, every song is conceived to filter the urban soundscape rather than mute it, allowing it to become part of the piece itself. In this way, the city retains its own voice as part of the composition.
